Ransom Demands
$75,000 reward for the safe return of “Little Lindy”
First note delivered--sent from Brooklyn
After 2nd note--raid to rescue the baby
Lindbergh disapproved-- fear for his song’s life
Ransom doubled to $100,000
Fooled Child unharmed and being held on “The Nelly” April 1, 1932-ready to receive payment May 12, 1932 the body was found by truck driver
-no hands, left leg missing, and badly fractured skull
Suspicion fell upon Violet Sharp
The Unsolved 1934 Brighton Trunk Murder
June 17, 1934-Brighton Railroad Station
Police found trunk with legs-head and arms never found

Violet’s disappearance was noticed by police Mancini was question and took off Police researched both murders and found remains of Violet at
Mancini’s place Mancini was arrested in South East London Mancini confessed just before his death in 1976
