The Crisis Management Expert Implementer (CM-5000) is an advancedlevel Crisis Management (CM) course that is primarily designed foradvanced level professionals who has a high degree of exposure to andunderstanding of CM, such as CM/Business Continuity (BC) managers,planners, and project managers. It is the institute’s most comprehensiveCM course which is also suitable for those who are new to CM or intendto embark on his/her CM professional career.
The workshop curriculum will enable participants to get a thoroughunderstanding of the 7 BCM Body of Knowledge (BCMBOK) for CMpractitioners. It is a globally recognized methodology for theimplementation and maintenance of CM programs.
On completion of the course, participants will be able to acquire the skillsand understanding to be able to drive complex CM programs and projectsfor the entire organisation.
Understand the CM planning methodology.Assemble the CM team members.Assess the risk and threats such as riots, supply chain disruptionsand product recalls.Track and trace incident events and prioritize decisions and activities.Link crisis communications within and outside of the organization.Have a clear view of the command and control within the command centres.Coordinate with external agencies and local authorities.Test and exercise the CM plan.Manage crisis management while operating with other plans such as Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR).

The course is run for 4 days where participants would be taught the fundamentals of BCM and CM and given hands onexperience in creating CM plans. Participants are also given exposure to handle a crisis through a crisis simulation exercise.
The qualifying BCCE examination done on the last day of a CM-400 or a CM-5000 course is a half day 150 Multiple ChoiceQuestions (MCQ) electronic based examination.The examination which lasts for 3.5 hours would need candidates to achieve a75% passing grade.
At least 3-years of CM or BCM or IT DRP experience to achieve the CMCE certification orNovice to Crisis Management (CM) or Business Continuity Management (BCM) who would like to acquire the entire spectrumof knowledge* (*Note: Novices with no experience would only be awarded the CMCP certification)

The globally recognised Crisis Management Certified Expert (CMCE) certification is designed to instill pertinent concepts and knowledge in CM practitioners Certified professional would be able them to drive organizational-wide CM programs,develop CM strategies, develop and implement comprehensive CM plans and implement CM awareness and training programs. They will also be able to conduct exercises and tests and implement CM audit and assessment programs to ensure CM plan effectiveness. This certification is most suited for CM/BC managers, planners and project managers.
CMCE applicants are required to complete and pass the qualifying CMCE examination attached to the CM-400: Crisis ManagementManager or CM:5000 Crisis Management Expert Implementer course.

Applicants who would like to apply for the CMCE certification needs to furnish BCM Institute with the CMCE certificationapplication fees of SGD150. This can be paid via Paypal, AMEX, Cheque (drawn from a Singapore bank), Telegraphic Transfer,Bank Transfer or Cash.
Once BCM Institute Certification Department has ascertain that they have received the complete CMCE application form andprocessing fees, application would be sent to an independent review board that would assess the applicants eligiblilty for thecertification applied for. The process may take about 4 – 8 weeks before an applicant is awarded the relevant certification.

CMCE applicants should have at least 3 years of Crisis Management (CM) or Business Continuity (BC) professional experience.They should be able to demonstrate this experience via an application form that would allow them to showcase at least 5 of theBCM BoK.
The experience should be backed by 2 referees that should be the applicant’s colleagues (not subordinate), clients or superiors.
Candidates who lack the pre requisite 3 years’ experience may opt to apply for a specialist certification (CMCS) or planner certification (CMCP).
