Certificate programs at Department of Mechanical Engineering (2017-2018)

[1] Workshop on Heating,Ventilation and Air conditioning (HVAC) technology by

Prinston Smart Engineers-Bangalore.

HVAC (Heat Ventilation and Air Conditioning) is one of the key building blocks in modern

infrastructure; thus one of the highly demanded skill in the market today. HVAC’s applicability has wide spectrum across - automobile, aerospace, electronic components, manufacturing and

construction. To further hone the skills of students, a 3-day (30 hour) Training Program on

HVAC Design was organized in association with Prinston Smart Engineers, Bangalore branch.

The course content included Basic Components of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration

machines, different types of Air-Conditioning Systems, Study of Psychometric Charts, Load

Calculation, Air Distribution System (Duct design), Ventilation systems.

The training provided hands-on experience in HVAC designing and execution. It also

encompassed the opportunities in Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing industry, variety of job

roles, and the nature of work for Mechanical Engineers.

INNOTRONICS- is Innovative Electronics Lab where students implement their project ideas

and also they do projects based on Application of curriculum under the guidance of faculties

having in depth knowledge of respective domain. Lab also has manual of sample projects with

all details required to implement. Also student to student coordination environment has been

created to share their knowledge with remaining students, which in turn helps to improve their

personal skills.
