From October 8 to November 6 Drawings and ceramics
céline lepageCéline Lepage’s works speak of the unrelenting construction of the imaginary. Her process leverages lapses of attention: during lengthy telephone conversations, long walks, while reading or when half-asleep... These distractions, or rather this focus on objects, patterns and environments find their expression on paper or ceramic, thereby translating into a universe of geometry, humour and poetry.

eFrom November 10, 2011 to January 22, 2012 photography
for Me The noise of TiMeis noT sadDazibao presents For me the noise of Time is not sad, two new releases by Steve Bates, created as part of the PRIM-Dazibao award. The artist swaps the traditional roles of image and sound to better study their relationship. To on-lookers, photography is the luminous imprint that captures a split-second moment conveying the very essence of an era. Steve Bates explores memories and their counterpoint, when recollection presses against the weight of time.
From November 15, 2011 to January 15, 2012 printed art
Travailler sous pressionLe Conseil des arts de Montréal en tournée presents Travailler sous pression, an exhibit by Graff, centre de conception graphique inc. The Travailler sous pression exhibit organized by Ateliers Graff is the result of an ambi-tious production where six artists worked in residence over a period of three months. The exhibit focuses on a singular yet very significant aspect of printed art: the moment of transfer by pressure. Artists: paul Bourgault, Thomas Corriveau, yann pocreau, Lucie Robert, geneviève Turcotte and Angèle Verret.

From November 10, 2011 to February 12, 2012 installations
abris de rêveries Artist Marie-pierre normand works with media of everyday life. In response to the present ecological disaster, the artist creates pieces that give a second life to otherwise worthless refuse. The installation features a scale model of human dimensions using drawings, collage and sculptures. Because this project is a creation residency, the installation will be changing over the duration of the exhibit. This project is brought to you with the financial support of the Agreement on the cultural development of Montréal, between Quebec’s Ministère de la Culture, des Communications et de la Condition féminine and Ville de Montréal.
