    Recapitulation of previously done concepts.

    1)Identifies small words by looking at the corresponding pictures. e.g.

    pen star cat

    2) Reads and understands short sentences (using three- letter words or

    more)

    e .g .A cat is on the mat.

    3) Listens to stories and recites short poems and songs with

    comprehension.

    4) Talks about himself/herself

    e g.-My name is Aniket.

    5) Talks about his/her favourite toy while doing ‘Show and Tell’ activity. 6) Reads simple stories and narrates them in the class.

    7) Uses the names of his/her classmates to perform various activities.

    8) Attempts to label his drawings by scribbling or writing some strokes or

    letters on his own.

    Enjoys introduction games like “strawberry shortcake” and “King and

    queen” and talks about himself and and herself.

    feel angry? When do I feel happy? What makes me cry? When did I

    feel surprised?

    MY BODY- Identifies different external body parts and their

    functions.

    Learns about the significance of the five sensory organs and their

    functions e.g.We smell with our nose.

    BASIC LIFE SKILLS

    Understands the importance of personal hygiene- taking a bath, brushing teeth etc.

    Learns how to wear uniform- belt,shoes and the importance of keeping them clean throughout the day.

  • Math Dialogue activities

    (April May and July)

    Activity No. 1 –Write the numbers from 1 to 10 on an A4 size sheet. Make a box under each digit and encourage your child to stick that number of bindis.

    Follow same for the numbers from 11 to 20.

    Activity no. 2 – Ask your child to look around and write two objects each of different shapes. For e.g. circle, triangle and square.

    Activity No.3 – Cut different shapes like triangle, circle etc.

    Give instructions to your child to arrange shapes like

    Keep the triangle between circle and rectangle.

    Keep the circle before square.

    This small exercise will help your child to understand after, before and in-between.

  • Activity No.4 - Play the Number Line Game!

    What You Need:

    Number line (write the numbers 1 to 20)

    Number cards (showing numbers 1 to 20) Pencil and paper

    Procedure-

    Shuffle the number cards and place them face down in a stack. Ask your child to pick up a card.

    Encourage your child to tell the numbers that comes before and after that number.

    Also encourage your child to check her/his responses from the number line. Continue in the same manner until your child has covered all the cards. Ask

    her/his to count the cards in her/his “winning” pile.

    This activity can be made more interesting if the game is played by 2 players and

    each player picks up a card and tells the after and before and the other player

    confirms the same from the number line.

    Activity No.5- Cut This Calendar!

    What You Need:

    An old calendar

    Envelope

    What You Do:

    Cut any old calendar into small squares with dates on them. Mix the cards and

    spread them out in front of your child.

    Encourage your child to arrange all the numbers in the correct order.

  • Keep the calendar pieces in the envelope for further practice any time.

    Activity No.6 “All about me”

    Prepare a booklet of 10 pages with cover page of “All about me”. Rest 9 pages will have the heading of:-

    1. My name is….write your name. 2. These are my handprints…Your handprints 3. This is my picture…stick your photo 4. I know these letters… A To Z 5. My favorite animals are..pictures of animals

    6. This is my family.. draw the picture of your family

    7. My favorite color is.. write the name of the color with same color

    8. My favorite foods are..pictures of food items

    9. I know these numbers.. 1 to 10

    Activity No.7 “Spelling Book” Make a spelling book of ten pages. Write one word of three letters on each page

    along with its picture. Words like:-

    1. Bus

    2. Sun

    3. Bag

    4. Box

    5. Car

    6. Dog

    7. Cat

    8. Hat

    9. Boy

    10. Cow

    Activity No.8 My alphabet book

    Take any old notebook. Write an alphabet ( Aa to Zz) ( both capital and small) on

    the top of the page. Fix a day for a particular alphabet. Encourage your child to

    identify all the objects / things starting from that alphabet. Ask your child to

    draw the picture of the things identified. Parents may help with the spellings.

    Activity No.9 My story collage

  • Take out 3 -5 pictures from a magazine or a newspaper which are related to each

    other. Depending upon the number and size of the pictures taken, take a paper in

    which all the pictures could fit in. Ask your child to see the pictures and encourage

    him/ her to arrange them in a meaningful story form. Ask our child to write a

    sentence about each picture.

    Activity No.10 Family tree

    Material required – colours, different colour glace papers, Scissor

    Procedure- The child will make a family tree. Ask the family members to trace a hand

    span and with the help of elders child will cut out the different hand spans and will

    paste them on the tree. Through this activity he can be introduced with the concept of

    estimation.

    Activity No. 11 My school bag

    Material required- A3 size sheet, scissor, colours

    Procedure-

    Let the child draw different things he carries to school in his bag.

    Cut the sketches he made and paste them on the A3 sheet with a bag drawn on it.

    Encourage the child to label the things he

    made.

    Activity No. 12 हहदंी क अक्षरो की सही तरीक स जानपहचान क शलए

  • एक बोर्य गम तर्ार कीस्जए ।अलग-अलग अक्षर व बबन मात्रा क शब्दों को शलखखए।हर खखलाड़ी को आए हुए शब्दों को पढ़ना होगा।जो भी पहल अतंतम शब्द तक पहंुचगा वह ववजता होगा।र्हगम 3-4 खखलाड़ी खल सकत हैं।

    उदाहरण –

    Activity No. 13 कार्य गम – र्ह खल 2-3 खखलाड़ी खल सकत हैं।कुछ कार्डयस बना लीस्जए व उन पर अलग-अलग चीजों क नाम शलख लीस्जए ।उन्ही क चचत्र अलग कार्डयस पर चचपकाइए।प्रत्र्क खलाड़ी एक-एक चचत्रों वाला कार्य उठाएगा व दसूर खखलाड़ी को उस चचत्र क नाम वाला कार्य ढंूढना होगा।
