Mathematics Learning Outcomes

Home LearningReading: 30 minutes a nightCDNIS Policy: 60 minutes a night

Grades 3-6The allocated time includes that which is assigned including Chinese Studies and instrument practice. Project work may extent this homework time on occasion. Students in Advanced Chinese classes can expect to spend more time on homework than other students.

Ongoing: Process journals, blogs, reading, instrument practice, mental math practice, Mathletics, Moodle

* No weekend or holiday homework

ComputersStudent computers are used throughout the day in most disciplines.

A computer case is required to bring it home Computers must be returned to school fully charged.

Computers go home for school work ONLY and for no more than 1 hour of work.

Parents can determine if their child can play computer games at home after work is completed.

Computers will begin going home for a few nights a week and gradually for extended times starting MONDAY.
