What is a Commercial Invoice? A commercial Invoice is made out by the exporter and

addressed to the importer. Full details of the goods shipped are shown in it.

What is its function? Both the buyer and the seller keep their accounts on

the basis of the relative commercial invoice. It enables the importer to check up whether the goods

consigned to him are in compliance.

Explanation Who provides Customs Invoice? The Customs Authorities of some countries provide a

special invoice form for the use of foreign exporters. What are the foreign exporters required to do? The foreign exporters are required to declare the cost

of production, the selling price in his home market, freight and insurance from place of shipment to the importing country, etc.
