EXERCISE: ANSWER THE QUESTION

Do and DoesDo for ( I, You, They, We)

Does for (He, She, It)

Can be used in basicall two ways:

1) As a main verb

In this case, do / does mean "do" usually something abstract ("make" is to "do / make" something with his hands. Learn to use "do and make").

For example:

Example 1: "I do lots of things"

Example 2: "She does everything"

Formulates

I DO WE DO YOU DO THEY DO HE DOES SHE DOES

Remember: When using do / does as an auxiliary verb to ask or deny, the main verb is always in the infinitive without "s”

2) As "auxiliary verb" to question and deny at the present time.

For the past we use "did" for all people

ADVERBS OF TIME:always (siempre),everyday (cada día), usually (normalmente), often (a menudo), sometimes (a veces), rarely (raramente), Hardlyever (casi nunca), never (nunca)...

Many times people confuse these two particles of English. Then try to explain how to use them .First you must be clear that the "do" use it with I, You, We , They , while " does" She used it with , and I It. The "do" and "does " are used in the following ways :1) As a main verbIn this case, do / does mean " do" usually something abstract ( "make" is to "do / make" something with your hands , such as " make a cake" )do doesPhoto: InternetFor example :" I do lots of things " I do many things.Example 2: " She does everything" She does everything

2) As " auxiliary verb" to question and deny at the present time .For the past tense "did" is used for all pronouns . In these cases we can not translate in Spanish as it is a self-built English.Let's look at examples :Example 1: Do you know her ? Know her?Example 2: Does he work here ? She works here?Example 3 : They do not do it . They do not.Other uses of do / does / did

3) To answer a questionWhen you ask a question using " do / does / did " as an auxiliary verb short form is answered by saying, " Yes I do " or " No, I do not .“

4) To emphasizeWhen I want to emphasize affirmative action is placed / does / did in front of the main verb ( which performs the action ) .Let's look at examples :Example 1: Do you really work here ? Really you work here?Yes , I do work here . Yes, I work here.Example 2 : She does work hard . She really works hard .Example 3 : They did do it . They did.Example 4: I do not want to see her . I really want to see it .
