CHALLENGE Develop a tool or app for mobile phones that will help improve the quality of the service of local health workers.
REGION Chad & Ghana
PROTOTYPE Imp Med: An app and sms service made to empower primary health care workers in remote areas. Imp Med gives information about different medical conditions, to ease diagnose when working on the field. You can get access to the catalog via sms or the app, and if more info is needed, hospitals and doctors can be contacted immediately. The goal is to give primary health care workers the help they need, but also to enable patients to make informed decisions about diagnoses and when it’s appropriate to contact a doctor.
