weekend and night shifts
Complete one to four years education program
Two years program are the most common
An AS degree program at a community college
Certificate is voluntary, but many employers prefer licensure for employment
Individual needed to pass a general exam and/or a specialized are area exam
To maintain license sonographers must completed accredited CE classes
