*This website is dedicated to the advancement of educational interests of

children with disabilities.

*It also helps give legal, emotional, and informational help to families of children with disabilities.

The following activities may help with further education and acceptance of

disabilities.

Invite a guest speaker who may have a disability. The students will have a chance

to ask any questions they may have.

*Introduce the proper names of disabilities to the students through use of internet, books, articles, videos, or pictures.

*Educating of the possible causes may also help.

Have students role play. Get a group of students together and nominate one to a disability. This lets them see what it may feel like and also learn the needs of others.

Have each student write a description of themselves and what makes them

different from everyone else. Then, have the student discuss this with

the class.

Have each student write a story or at least try to think of what it would be like to have a specific disability like Autism.
