Architectural Technologies

Whether you’re constructing a tool shed, a four-bedroom house, a school or a new office building, it’s all built from drawings. If you’d like to be at the center of that process—with the construction knowledge and mastery of high-tech drafting systems that make you a highly valued employee—DMACC’s Architectural Technologies program is for you.

Architectural Technologies is for the person who wants to:

u Work on a team alongside architects, engineers, contractors and product manufacturers.

u Gain knowledge and skills to develop the specialized documents for building projects.

u Be part of the creation of a building that people will live in, work in and appreciate for many years.

One of the Fastest Growing Industries

Demand for skilled architectural technologists is growing fast. Entry-level jobs have an average salary of about $30,000 nationally. The average annual pay for all architectural technologists in the U.S. in 2015 was $51,000. Individuals with high talent and very specialized skills can make $100,000 or more per year.*

DMACC graduates are employed by architects; structural, mechanical and electrical engineers; contractors, subcontractors, and building equipment and material suppliers.
