Eligibility Requirements

*Must have completed at least 30 credits, but not

more than 92 credits

*University GPA (2.9 minimum)

*Neither of your parents (or guardians) graduated

from a four-year college or university and you have

demonstrated financial need OR

You are a member of a group traditionally

underrepresented in graduate school: African

American, Hawaiian, Hispanic/Latino, Native

American, or Pacific Islander

Additional ConsiderationsMust be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen Commitment to obtaining a doctoral (Ph.D.)

degree that will lead to a career in higher education

Things You Need to Know

Applications are accepted year round, but the selection committee meets in mid-fall (Oct. 1 is the priority deadline) & in the spring to fill open positions

Only 27 students are funded per academic year

Must be available to participate in the 7-week Summer Research Institute before graduating with your bachelor’s degree
