University Center Club on the campus of Florida State University.
What is DY356 Day All About?
For those of you who are less familiar with this official Porsche event, Drive Your 356 Day is an international event with owners of 356’s worldwide driving their 356’s to honor Ferry Porsche’s birthday, which is September 19. This year, we will be celebrating on Saturday, September 15. In Addition to having fun driving 356’s and other Porsches (all cars are welcome), this year we will staging a photo of all porsches that participate next to the Renegade statue in front of the Florida State University Campbell Stadium entrance.
Saturday September 15 – all times are EST
• 11:00 am – Assemble at the Start Point - Florida Department of Revenue - 2450 Shumard Oak Blvd, Tally. Insurance waivers and mandatory safety briefing prior to departure.
• 11:15 am – Drive departs promptly – Drive route in and around Tallahassee is still in development. • 12:15 pm– Arrive at the University Center Club, FSU campus and assemble cars for photos. • 1:00 pm – Lunch will be served on the 6th floor Terrace overlooking the stadium. ** And our special
guest, PCA Zone 12 Lisa Lewis will be on hand and will provide an update of “what’s happening” around the Zone.
• A Delicatessen Buffet will be offered with various hot and cold sandwich options, chips, pasta salad, fruit salad, mixed green salad, assortment of cookies/brownies, tea and coffee.
Lunch is being provided by YOUR NFL Region of PCA. Who said there is no such thing as a free lunch?!
Please RSVP to shirley@penningtonlaw.com no later than Thursday, September 6 with your name and # in your party. Spouses and significant others are welcome.
Your RSVP will be confirmed by email within 24 hours. Questions: Call Shirley at 850-933-1245
And it’s always our goal to also get a photo of our local 356’s for submission to the DY356D issue of the 356 Registry Magazine, which publishes pictures of the DAY from all over the world. Pictures of the local 356’s have made the 356 Registry Magazine a number of years in the last ten. Let’s keep the tradition going !!
