PreciSion Pointing AnD LocAtion
L-3 Space & Navigation (S&N) continues its record of excellence in providing mission-critical precision pointing and location to our warfighters. Partnered with the U.S. Army, L-3 S&N’s combat-proven precision product family delivers mission-critical information such as survey, pointing and position to our soldiers for precise, indirect mass fires and counter-fire operations.
By anticipating obsolescence, along with being responsive and flexible to end-user needs, L-3 S&N has captured the Paladin DRU-H-R program and continue to lead the way to “Common Artillery Accuracy” for today’s armed forces.
The DRU-H-R is an advanced precision delivery subsystem that will provide accurate vehicle position and attitude data. This unit replaces the DRU-H on Paladin and Firefinder, both playing critical roles in supporting U.S. ground forces in all phases of active combat operations. The selected L-3 S&N design will upgrade system performance by using high accuracy, combat-proven inertial sensors currently fielded on the MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) and HIMARS (High-Mobility Artillery Rocket System) weapons systems and the IPADS survey system.
The DRU-H-R delivers precisely what the Army of tomorrow needs — a sustainable, affordable system designed to remain operationally effective well into the future.
