Scope

� is conference is a continuation of a successful series of previous conferences that started in 1993 with the � rst meeting in Florence (Italy). � e conference focuses on all aspects of development, production technology (hot and cold rolling, heat treatment, etc.) and corrosion of stainless steels and addresses both delegates with academic and industrial backgrounds. � e � ndings shall contribute to the advancement of existing and potential applications and will help to guide future development. � is event will bring together developers, manufacturers and users of stainless steel from industry and academia and will compare the present and future needs to satisfy these demands now or in the future. Short and medium term perspectives of European stainless steel � at and long products will be broadly discussed inside the Stainless Steel Market Outlook session. � e session will be organized by SMR (Steel & Metals Market Research), a market research � rm speci� cally focused on the stainless steel sector.Markus Moll, Managing Director of SMR, will give a plenary speech on Outlook for the global stainless steel industry with focus on Europe.It is expected the presence of speakers representing the most important European stainless steel association and reports coming from the big stainless steel companies.
