Current position•At the moment the company has only started to make its presence heard within the IT sector and with good contacts throughout the industry it hopes to become a market leader.

Competitive advantage•There is a large amount of websites that will be my competition. The plan for Nova computers is to build a good local support from home then branch out over UK and International. My competitive advantage is that as an IT technician over the years I have made some good contacts in the IT industry and plan to use that to quickly get the business up and running.

Market research•By studying our competitors we hope to understand what the customers are looking for. We also plan to setup a review option for products to get a understanding on where we are going wrong or right. Also questionnaires sent out in emails and flyers threw potential customers doors. And getting feed back from colleagues where I have work and supplier who I may have dealt with.

E-commerce and technology•The idea that we can use the website not only for sales but to enhance technology can allows us to marketing other companies products through ads and review these products for our customers.

Marketing budget•Will be used for advertising, flyers, promotions, IT events and radio. In time hopefully television advertising too.

Team and Managementstructure

Skills, experience, training and retention• Currently no staff have been taking on at the present time, but once site is

up and running, I plan to hire a few additional staff to help with running of website and warehouse work. At the moment I run the website, do all sales and purchases and maintain accounts. Staff roles I will fill are, website administrator, receptionist, accountant, marketing manager and 2 warehouse staff. Once the staff have been employed there will be ongoing training to further enhance there skills.

Advisors• During the building process of the website I brought in advisors on

website design, marketing and PR.

Management systems• The management system will be one that has a hierarchy in place, with all

staff under my authority. I do hope the make the company into a franchise and then and only then will I look into a different structure for management.
