The grand re-opening of the Euper Lane Branch of Benefit Bank was Sept 16-17. What a great response! Thanks to Margaret McLellan and Denise Mounce for organizing and supervising this huge project. Thanks also to the moms and dads that show up bright and early every Friday morning to help out!

Safety on HalloweenBy Lillian McCombsFourth Grade
Kids need to be more safe on
Halloween. Although it is fun,
it is also dangerous. Make
sure you don’t go door-to-
door. And don’t wear masks
that have small eye holes.
Also, never go without an
adult. So, be safe and have
fun!

Northside was a real good
match! They could have
been better but not much
better.
The whole crowd went
crazy as soon as the

played while the crowd
cheered.
The final score was
Northside 30, Catholic 55.

Hands-On Science is Fun!!!

Every Friday, 5th grade teacher Mrs. Hillary Key does a hands-on science experiment with her class. “I think hands-on activities allow students to explore theirlearning” Mrs. Key said. Mrs. Key added, “Byparticipating in hands-on activities, students use a different part of their brain. This helps them remember the information longer. Also, I have found that when students get to eat, they pay attention better.”
The students agree with the teacher that this is fun, and a great way to learn. Here’s what some of her students - Grant Johnson, Berkley Cooper, Alan Patrick, and José Arriola had to say after a lesson on physical properties that included eating donuts: “It will help if you are hungry”, “powdery and delicious”, “Donuts Rule!”, and “VERY, VERY FUN”.
Please remember that the Eagle Flyer newsletter is available monthly and is published online (seewebsite below). Print copies are made available each month in the school office.
