Getyourkids’earscheckedregularly.Keepkidsclean(washhandsandfacesregularly).Eathealthyfood.Makesurekidsgetalltheirvaccinations.Getkidstoblowtheirnoseandputtissuesinthebin.Breastfeed-ithelpsfightinfections.

Smoke-yoursmokeisbadforkidstoo.Stickanythinginyourkids’ears,unlessrecommendedbyyourhealthworker,

nurseordoctor.

Loss of hearing is hard for parents and kidsWhenkidshavehearingloss,itcanbehardbecause:

• Babiesandkidsmightnotheartheirnamewhencalled.• Kidsmightbeindangeriftheycan’thearthecarson

theroad.• Kidsmighthavedifficultylearninglanguageandtalking.• Kidsmightfeellikenooneunderstandsthem.

• Ifyouaregivenmedicine,itisimportanttotakethefullamountadvisedbyyourhealthworker.
