Crew/StageHand Packet

Gateway Middle School PTSA is sponsoring Alice in Wonderland Jr withrehearsals starting after we return from winter break. Rehearsals will be mainlyTuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 5:30pm. Please plan for your student toattend each rehearsal listed on the calendar provided. Rehearsals CANNOT BEMISSED unless it if for illness or an emergency.Transportation home MUST be arranged by parents. There is no activity busavailable. Please be considerate to the parent volunteers supervising and be ontime to pick up your student. They must stay until every student is picked up andhave other family obligations in the evening.

Although actors are an important aspect of a successful musical, we also needhelp from other creative students to create sets, props and run the lights and musicin order to really make our show magical. If you are interested in being chosen forthe set or stage crew, DO NOT SHOW UP TO THE AUDITION on ThursdayDecember 12th. The information session for the set and stage crew will be heldon Tuesday January 14th from 3:00-4:00 pm. Wednesday, January 29: PTSA Council Membership Meeting Council Membership Meetings bring together representatives from our local PTAsto share information and vote on PTA business. Each local PTA is asked to haveat least one representative from their PTA Board of Directors attend (more arewelcome!). Dr. Sally Lancaster, Assistant Superintendent for the Central Region,will provide updates from the district and will be available to answer questions.After the Council meeting, we will host a free training for all leaders in attendance:Health & Wellness for PTA Leaders. The staff are doing the Books over Breakprogram again this year. Students shouldpick a book of their choice to read overthe two-week winter holiday. Get cozy,enjoy reading, and fill out a briefresponse slip. The class who has thehighest percentage of students read andturn in their slip will win a winter hotcocoa party.

Plan to come to Olympia for Focus Day on Monday, January 20, and meet withyour legislators. More details about the agenda and how to schedule legislatormeetings will be available soon.
