Eco Valley: Day One at ‘The Grand’

80 students representing 6 Ribble Valley schools.

8 mixed school teams - individual professional roles:

• Managing Director• Architects• Land Surveyors• Landscape Designers• Marketing Manager• Brand Manager• Sustainability Officer

• Teamwork, communication, enterprise skills• Design ideas exchanged and discussed• Final designs issued to the director• Speech and presentation to judges by the

Director and Architect. • Three winning teams selected

Eco Valley: Day Two – On Site

• Management Team roles decided• Launch Day further preparations• Speeches• Invitations• Sustainably sourced refreshments• Power point• Name badges

Eco Valley: Day Three – Team Meeting

• A Sustainable Vision for all• Raise awareness of our global impact:

Environmental issues, poverty, health, increasing consumption, debt, unsustainable human development, increasing amounts of waste

• Community building available for everyone • Lots of people + education = BIG CHANGES• Support Clitheroe’s Transition Town aspirations• Bring the community together through

education• Global warming awareness• Demonstrate everyday sustainable practice• To make the world a better place
