•Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19th of 1809, in Boston, where he was son of Eliza and

David Poe Jr., both actors. Became orphan before he turned two years old, when he lost his mother in 1811, a year after his father

abandoned the family.

•The biography of Edgar Allan Poe indicates that he

and John Allan did not relate well, and their disagreements remained until the end of life of

his adoptive father.

•Phrase said after the death of his first wife:

“In the death of what was my life, so, I gained a brand new one - oh God! how

melancholic existence.”

•His last words were "it's all over”. They wrote down:." Edgar no longer exists. “

•He died in October, 7th of 1849.
