Sewerage and reclaimed network

Complex and large infrastructures in a densely populatedarea.

Outdated graphic information, generally in a non-digitalformat.

Difficulty in having quick access and updated data from thenetwork due to:

Reasons for GIS development

Modifications caused by new road and railwayinfrastructures and service networks (water and gassupply).

Modifications caused by town planning (new roads orstreets, new connections).

Modifications of pipelines due to works of the Baix Llobrega t highway

Reasons for GIS development

Complex and large infrastructures in a densely populatedarea.

Outdated graphic information, generally in a non-digitalformat.

Difficulty in having reliable updated data from the networkdue to:

Avoiding obsolescence: development of GIS required .

Modifications caused by new road and railwayinfrastructures and service networks (water and gassupply).

Modifications caused by town planning (new roads orstreets, new connections).

In 2006 the implementation of EMSSA’s GIS began, contracting an ESRI ArcView licence.

• Maintenance of sewers and inflows and overflowscontrol.

• Providing precise and updated information.

• Providing on-line information (eWise- ACEFAT).
