Course synopsis
This course provides the students an exposure to the fundamentals of transistor-level CMOS integrated circuit (IC) design. The course starts with an overview of IC design that covers the basic logic circuits and the Netlist representation of circuits. Next, the students are introduce to the transistor-level schematic designs and proceed with the stick diagram, layout design, layout simulation of integrated circuits, as well as basic integrated circuits design techniques.

CO1: Ability to apply Boolean Algebra and analyze logic circuits at transistor level using schematic.
CO2: Ability to design the layout of a circuit based on the design rules specified.
