If you give your children too much freedom, they may misuse it. Give them too little, and they may grow up to be completely de-pendent. Here's how you can find a balance. It is important to inform to first time parents that to raise a child to be independent, and to help him make his own decisions is the best gift that they can give to their kids for the rest of their life. First at all, if you give him too much freedom, he may get confused, misuse the freedom or make the wrong choices. On the other hand, if you use the benefit of your experience and make all his choices for him, you are destroying
his ability to make his own decisions, making him dependent on you and perhaps making him rebel-lious and resentful. If you want your child to grow up into an independent person, you need to create a bal-ance. Here are some tips on how you can achieve this balance and help make your child more independent.

Snapshots from the New Delhi Auto Expo by Wagner
A slowdown in sales will not deny car lovers the opportunity to size up new automobile beauties. Car companies are hardly deterred by the sector’s woes when it comes to launching new models. January’s Auto Expo in Delhi has as many as 55 launches lined up. The last edition (in 2010) featured 50 launches, including 10 global debuts. But, the sales growth back then was impressive. The show itself is getting bigger. There will be more than 50 participants at January’s expo against 42 the last time. New players include Peugeot Citroen, which is in the process of setting up a manufactur-ing plant in Gujarat, super car manufacturer Bugatti, Japanese commercial vehicle maker Isuzu, Kamaz Vectra, a Russian company that makes trucks in India, local name Gar-ware Motors, which has started selling su-perbikes, Daimler Commercial Vehicles, BMW Motorrad, off-road vehicle maker Po-laris and the UK-based Triumph Motorcy-
cles. Bajaj Auto’s much awaited small car, which promises to have the best mileage in its class, will be unveiled at the show. The launch is crucial as it will also be the first time the com-pany's partners Nissan-Renault (for whom it has built the car) will get a close look at the offering. The decision to go ahead with the project or call if off will be made thereafter. Maruti Suzuki will unveil two cars: a concept sports utility vehicle (SUV) and a new product the company has refused to reveal any details about. Sources in Tata Motors say it will launch a passenger vehicle and a com-mercial vehicle at the Auto Expo but not the diesel Nano. A con-
cept car is, however, expected to be on display. Peugeot is expected to showcase its 508 Sedan, the first product it will launch in 2014, apart from other cars it plans to bring to India. Industry sources say Renault's small car Pulse is also expected to be launched at the expo. Ford is likely to launch EcoSport, a mini-SUV. In the two-wheeler segment, Yamaha will show its range of scooters, an area it is entering. Piaggio will showcase a motorcy-cle for the first time. Bajaj Auto will bring its KTM bikes to the show. Mahindra & Mahin-dra, analysts say, will launch a whole host of two-wheeler offerings. To promote electric vehicles, the organisers will for the first time have a procession of theirs. Companies expected to participate in this segment include General Motors, Tata Motors (a hybrid bus will be showcased), Renault and Maruti Suzuki, among others. In the super luxury class, the usual sus-pects, Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati, Lambor-ghini and Rolls Royce, will make their pres-ence felt. As per the article published by Ticotimes.com, “Costa Rica is now the one country in Central America to not enact a tax reform after the world economic crisis that began in 2008. The current government hopes to remedy that in the near future. However, mounting scandals within President Laura Chinchilla’s administration continue to distract from the dire debt situation”. News shows, articles in newspapers and interviews highlight the inefficient way in which the fiscal issue has been handled. The consensus has not been reached and appears far of being reached. Days ago, The President Laura Chinchilla has tried to lead this process but since there are so many scandals around this it has been really difficult to see clearness within this topic. Opponents have accused the government of favoritism, since there was brought to the light that contracts between government functionaries and their relatives were in place and formalized with huge amounts. Base on this people have been skeptic about accepting this new reform. Opponents and average medium class people agree with the fact that the government is already charging more than enough in taxes, and thus, fiscal and tax entities should start this reform by boosting their processes of collecting and distributing the income in a rational way besides these roups hold the idea that the government should start also by freezing public sec-tor’s salaries and decreasing expenses as meals for congresses, transport, meet-ings, travel expenses and extra time payments. The United States is one of the countries with greater index of obesity in children of scholastic age. Therefore, The Valley City
Public Schools in this country has started an experiment this week to track food sales following a visit from behavioral economist
Dr. David Just and under the direction of food service director Sue Milender.
Dr. Just was taken on a tour of the schools Friday morning with the director Milender after speaking at the Hi-Liner Activity Center
on Thursday. The Hi-Liner Booster Club is a voluntary organization whose main purpose is to support Hi-Liner athletic teams,
interscholastic athletics (and activities), to promote a healthy environment, and attitudes for youth people. Its aim is to encourage
growth and interest in these areas by supporting children and teenagers in a sportsmanlike and enthusiastic manner.
Doctor Just stressed, “Small things like that can have a big impact, about 30 percent on the movement of fruit versus movement
of chips or Rice Krispie treats,”
The tools used to dispense food did not escape Dr. Just’s eye, either. He said at one school he visited, a vat of mayonnaise was
available to students with a large ladle to scoop it out. He also pointed out a small pair of tongs used to dispense strawberries at
Washington Elementary School. “Small inconvenience really does limit how much we take, and we may think it doesn’t affect us
much,” said Just. He insisted “For some of those less healthy items, finding the right service so that it’s not so inconvenient that
people can’t get it who want it, but it’s not convenient to take tons and tons and overeat it.”
Also, director Milender said it was an honor to have Dr. Just at the schools, and his only two stops in North Dakota last week
were in Valley City and Fargo. “We’re going to take all the information that he’s given us and we’re going to put into practice,”
Milender said. “We’ll be watching sales.”

U.S. and Afghan officials arrived Sunday is a very coveted strategic alliance agreement
concerns the application of standards for the U.S. involvement in Afghanistan, while U.S.
forces withdraw.
U.S. and Afghan officials had said they hoped to sign the agreement before the summit of
the Atlantic Treaty Organization (OTAN) to be held in May, but a series of disagreements
had threatened to divert the alliance in recent months.
The document concluded on Sunday, provides a strong foundation for the security of Af-
ghanistan, the region and the world, and is a document for the development of the region,
said Rangin Dadfar Spanta, Afghan national security adviser.
The U.S. ambassador, Ryan Crocker, and Spanta initialed the document at a ceremony in
the capital, said a statement from the office of President Hamid Karzai. The U.S. Embassy
spokesman Gavin Sundwall, confirmed the same information.
The agreement is now ready for signature by both presidents, Karzai's office said.
During the ceremony of signing the document, said that the development of the agreement
had taken over a year and a half of work, according to the Afghan press.
This agreement is very important since Afghanistan has suffered much since the U.S. inva-
ded the country because of the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

Living in harmony This trip made to San Ramon was very entertaining and very important to realize q addictions today affect our society and how to combat them. An addiction is a personal disorder how to live and inadvertently affect the body physically and mentally and leading the person to a life dependent on their addiction. The modern addictions according to statistics made by a U.S. university are:
1. Plastic surgery 2. Internet 3. Sex 4. Love 5. Tanning 6. Shopping 7. Exercises 8. White Teeth 9. TV 10. Work
On the other hand mentioned in the talk that stress is a physiological reaction in the body that come into play various defense mechanisms to deal with a situation perceived as threatening or increased demand. Stress is a natural and necessary for survival, despite which today is confused with pathology. This confusion is that this defense mechanism may end up under certain circumstances prevalent in certain modes of life, triggering serious health problems. Stress can be caused by overwork and family problems, financial problems and others. For me a way to de stress out is to exercise, play football or any sports activities that help me forget all the stress around me. For me the best way to get away from addiction is to live in harmony with your body, mind and society around us and this can only be achieved by having a balance of some point such as respect, honesty, courage, courage, excellence, tolerance and peace. All these points can have a better life and more people around us. By Wagner

The Future of Renewable Energy Business in Central America
Página 6 Título del boletín
Central American countries have been developing renewable energy projects for many years. During the 1970’s Guatemala, Honduras and Costa Rica built their biggest dams for hydroelectric projects, however during the present years this type of projects are considered of great impact to mother nature since it is needed to flood thousands of hectares for the dams which caused, relocation of families and productive activities, loss of flora and fauna, and some other important impacts.
Electricity demand has grown quickly in Central American countries during the past ten years that all of the countries have decided to install thermoelectric plants to generate electricity. One of the advantages of thermoelectric plants are that they can be installed very fast, nevertheless the source of energy is fuel and most of the plants use oil sub products and coal, which has to be imported from abroad besides they are highly volatile in price. Renewable Energy is not only hydropower as it used to be perceived in the past; nowadays some other sources of energy are used to help the generation of elec-tricity. Listed here some are some other sources that can be used or installed as alternative energy producers: wind, solar, geothermic, tidal and small hydro pro-jects. Combining these sources of energy will help the Central American countries to reduce the dependence of fuel and will reduce the amount of carbon dioxide that these thermal plants produce. Just to give an example of how well renewable energy works, let’s see the complementary effect of wind and hydro. The wind blows during the dry season when the dams are empty or with limited volumes of water, this is the time when wind projects generate electricity that the hydro plants cannot produce, on the contrary hydro plants produce electricity during the rainy season when the wind is very low and that is how these two renewable energy technologies are complementary. After looking at this matrix of electricity generation that can be implemented in all
countries, governments should take the lead to promote business in the region and in-vite international and national companies to invest in these projects. The promotion should be at all levels as it is important also to review the legislation and to avoid unnec-essary permits or steeps that could delay or make companies to quit the development of these projects. Educational Psychology is the psychological science studying how children and adults learn, the effec-tiveness of various educational strategies and tactics, and how schools function as organizations. Edu-cational psychologists work together with teachers and parents, to enhance children's learning and de-velopment, especially in cases of behavioral and learning difficulties. These kinds of psychologists are focus on the needs of children in school as well as other areas of children's lives impacted by their school experiences. Besides that they analyzed and recommend the best teaching method for educat-ing according to the topic or subject. In fact, one of the first educators to deal with teaching methods was the Doctor Albert Pinkevich, famous doctor in Pedagogical Science. Pinkevich classified the teaching methods on in-ductive, deductive, analytical, and synthetic. In addition, he discovered that each method needed different learning strategies. In the case of the inductive method the learning strategies are: Observation, Ab-stract, Compare, Experimental, and Generalization strategies. On the other hand, the Deductive method proposed Application, Verification and Demonstratio. The Inductive Method occurs when the teacher or facilitator induces the topic by specific strategies in order to teach the main idea and facilitate to students infer the conclusions, details or secondary ideas. According to Albert Pinkevich, this method fully involved students in learning process because it generates more interest on the topic. In the case of the Deductive Method, the general propositions are inferred when the student draws conclusions and implications in order to learn new thinking skills. In conclusion, a good teaching technique can even become a motivator for the students, who also can use learning strategies in order to make more effective the time that they spend studying. On the other hand, if teachers pay attention to these details, the way the some sciences are taught could provide a shift in the perspective that students have about some subjects.

At the beginning of this course my main objective
was acquiring more fluency in the language since
along all these years studying English I felt that my
understanding was quite well, by understanding I
mean listening and reading; nevertheless, my flu-
ency speaking and also writing was not that well
so, that is why that became my main goal. I felt this course well organized and structured, this
probably would be one of the most remarkable
thing I get from it, because due to this organization
and structure I was able to perform and practice
in an easier way compared with other courses I
had taken years ago. Although I liked it, I think at some point I felt over-
whelmed with the overload of work, and specially
because at this level sometimes the priority for a
student is to take and approve successfully the
courses that are directly related with his major,
and even when everybody knows English now is a
must, we tend to set the course aside. Neverthe-
less, I surprised myself with the effort towards the
course and the activities as well as my participation.
Regarding to the participation in class I found my
performance good and even felt well with the fact
of being able to identify my errors exactly at the
very moment of speaking. At the end of the course I can make a review and
realize that my writing improved and also my
fluency, and I know it because now at work
I’m able to execute many tasks that I’m re-
quired to perform entirely in English and that
goes from taking and making calls whether
with native English speakers but also with
speakers of English as second language which
also has improved my listening skills.
I think something that stays in my list after
this course is spelling and I know this is a skill
that I can improve by getting myself used to
read in English all kind of resources, and in
the other hand I also have to improve my
pronunciation and vocabulary which I hope to
look up while practicing in my daily work and
with one of my favorite hobbies “movies”.

1. The seven habits give us ideas for improvement since we all live day by day, but we never think about how we
live and what things we do in order to be as much effective as possible. We just live the life without mulling
over, our actions or behaviors when handling difficult circumstances. Also, we do not really analyze what we are
doing to achieve our goals and how we manage our relationships. This essay is focused on answering key ques-
tions that can help the reader to adopt certain tips to lead his own life to success.
2. Base on the reading, I agree with many of the habits that were mentioned but, not with all of them. For exam-
ple, people who look for a proactive way of life and take continuous risk or face difficult challenge on a regular
basis, need to adopt most of the consequent habits mandatory, because if they don’t apply those other habits
they will not be able to achieve these goals. The fact of beginning with the idea in mind of how things will end,
must be aligned with fact of being proactive. Thus, each fact or habit will be intrinsically linked to another one
and so on.
3. Thinking about my current habits, I realized than I practice some of the seven habits; for instance those I
know need to be improve or start applying I would mention “Synergize and Sharpen the Saw”. I tend to change
my rhythm of work a lot, which make me lose the opportunity to improve continuously in other areas. Even
when I try to focus on priories, organize and programming my agenda, I get lost on my own plans and end up
forgetting appointments which means I did not managed the time that well.
4. I have to fess up that one of the habits that called my attention the most was “Think Win – Win”. This
thought should be considered a value in everyone’s life, because we cannot conceal the fact that human kind
tends always to lad us in a Win-Lose manner and I think that is why the world is so divided an conflictive. I
could realize that there are ways to go out and find the best way of relentlessly think on acquire the Win-Win habit.
5. The ideas subtracted from this article are very important for my Business Administration Studies, I will have
develop the habit of reread at least a summary of the seven habits, in order to keep them present for constantly

The article in the section kids/young and International Section in our newspaper pretend to give a practical guide to first time parents about the importance of their own education because through the process of becoming a better parent for your children, you are becoming a better parent for yourself.
Many mothers and fathers agree that raising their children is the most important and difficult job of their lives; but, they receive no education or on the job training for positive parenting. Yet, they are expected to get it right, to know all the answers that confront them without getting any help.
How long would you expect anyone to last on an important new job where they were expected, to know all the answers with litt le or no training? Not long! Hence, education is important for parents. So, don't put those unrealistic expectations on yourself. Instead, approach child care like you would beginning a new job. Any beginner knows education is important. Be flexible and willing to learn. Read and ask for help.
Remember to optimize your learning as a parent considering these steps:
Enjoy your learning: Take your time, go slowly but keep going, at your own pace. Remember, it's the tortoise that completed the race. Rome was not built in a day.
2. Go where your interests draw you, or where you believe you need help.
3. As you read the information, think about creating your own parenting styles. Imagine what your parenting styles look like when interacting with your
child? Consider that this information is a way of stimulating your own thinking about child care, rather than giving you a correct answer. It's a way of develop-ing your expertise in the art of positive parenting. Recall the adage about giving a person a fish versus teaching a person to fish?
Think about this statement from time to time: As you learn to parent your children more positively, effectively and successfully, in a sense, you are positive parenting yourself.
