INSIDE
Those two are the models of the last phase of this project’s cour-se, where you can see the final result through some stages: the analysis of the real building, the use of a randomatic program-me and action and the hybri-dation with other building. In this last phase we get some elements and actions of one of our classmates, emphasizing the multiply of the elements in the big one, and the soil and the blinds from the little model.

So we create a mixture be-tween our models and our classmate’s models taking as a result a housing building, located in the perimeter, with a double patio, which contains green areas in the superior half part of the building, and public spaces in the inferior one, genera-ting a horizontal core in the middle of the building, all of that covered by the interior diagrid and covered again by a translucence façade.
As an evolution of light estructure above heavy basse, we put the building directly in a hole in the ground, but supported by 4 stone big pilars, that also contain the elevators itself.
Also we implement a 3dimensional grid of walkable paths for conectivity betwen the lower bottom of the complex, the common areas and the top stories with the private gardens, and rooftop

In the little one, we kept the aim of the spiral stair, but in that case the soil and the sun protection with blinds. So we get a building where the study of the weather is also important, like our starts with the city hall.

PHASE 1 FINDINGShearst tower
With the phases 1 and 2 we studied the building with points of view that we never used before: a 100% analytic mode in the phase 1, where you had to look and draw everything you can, and you consider that it’s im-portant in relation with the architecture; and a mode of view more cri-tical, look beyond the building, choosing which elements are the most important for the cons-truction of the building.

Model Fase 5 plan
Then, we could understand better our building to build the models of the pha-se 3. Looking at our second phase we choose the minimal architectural ele-ments and started with the models.
In relation with the architectural ele-ments of the big model we can see the contrast between the two parts, the ba-sement and the new building, the con-crete and the white material (FOAM) like steel, the complexity of the diagrid with all those triangles, the use of the interior space like a public area, inclu-ding new spaces like the interior patio, that we get with us until the end of the project like a new pillar of our building.
The little one starts like a redraw of the existing building subtracting the most simples shapes, this shape of a sheared sphere, where we get a more sculptural building instead of a practice or efficient building, even that we propose a little public library inside.

In this phase the teacher give us the pro-gram of our building, and an action to modify the previous model, in our cau-se we had to work with a block houses program and make the action of inside out.In the big one , We kept the sensations that produce the aspect extern, the sto-ne base as well as the diagrid, making some changes. First the diagrid now looks inside, giving more resemblance to the central patio.

The one who contains a small private playground on height, meanwhile the public square goes outside the building. In relation with the communications cores, we kept the stairbox, inside the patio, but we make major change, that we put the elevator outside, in the su-rroundings, acting as a visual support.
In the little one the change of the ex-tern aspect is more important, because the program limits our model with the dimensions and the situations and the spaces of social relation that we have to create, keeping the ramp as visual and communications core, and at the same time using his spherical shape. For that reason we built a little housing building for students where the ramp has a lot of importance and the spaces that we generate changes quickly.
