Example - Workplace: "Artists on Location”An environmental portrait project focused on local artists and creatives. This collaborative effort introduces artists in their own work or home environment to portray them in a specially honest and natural way.

In their natural surroundings, you will be able to better illuminate their CHARACTER, and therefore portray the ESSENCE OF THEIR PERSONALITY, rather than merely a likeness of their physical features.

• In their natural surroundings, the subject will be more comfortable, and so be more likely to expressing themselves.

• A studio can be a rather intimidating and artificial experience

above.– Find 5 examples of other environmental portraits that

you like and would like to try a similar style.– 5 photos due by Friday, 11-20.

Thursday, Nov. 19th – Warm Up during class – Bring in a prop for your partner

to use. Stage a photo with the prop you bring.– Work day on photo.– Teacher review of web portfolio.
