La rotura de un talud suele ser un evento progresivo y puedededucirse con las siguientes evidencias:
� Roturas de pendiente con acumulación de material al pie del talud.
� Bloques de roca caídos al pie de taludes y escarpes.
� Presencia de grietas de tracción.
� Reptaciones de material blando.
� Arboles, arbustos o postes inclinados a favor de la pendiente.
� Desalineaciones de estructuras.
� Cicatrices que evidencien planos de rotura.
La identificación de deslizamientos no siempre es alg o evidente.
