How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

TechnologyTechnology was essential to this entire project; I used it frequently

and dependently in order to research & plan, to construct my music

video and ancillary tasks, and to evaluate as I am doing right now.

Research & PlanningTechnologies Used:

I used Wordpress to publish my research &

planning online

I used this Sony Camera to film my

Preliminary Task and to take pictures of Props

and other things.

I used Youtube to find relevant music videos to

deconstruct.

I used Slideshare to upload my

Powerpoints/PDFs (Storyboard, Shooting

Schedule, Deconstructions etc.) so

that they could be embedded in my Wordpress Blog.

Research And PlanningTechnologies Used:

I used iMovie to edit my Preliminary Task.

I used Facebook to urge friends to fill in my

Survey.

I used Twitter to urge friends to fill in my survey and ask the band for

permission to use their song.

Research & PlanningTechnologies Used:

I used Survey Monkey in order to create and

host my survey.

I used Google for a countless amount of searching including finding adverts to

deconstruct and images for my moodboard.

I used the Mac for the editing of my preliminary

task and for other theoretical tasks.

Used to create my Shooting Schedule.

I used Microsoft Powerpoint to create various slide shows (i.e.

Genre Research, Artist Research, Deconstructions etc.)

I used this to film the Director’s Pitch

and some deconstructions at

home.

Used to carry out a lot of the tasks including filming deconstructions on the

webcam and creating slide shows.

I converted my Shooting Schedule to a PDF document so it could be uploaded, and scanned my Storyboard as a PDF. This is he program that

views PDFs.

I used this printer to scan my Storyboard as a PDF and send it to my laptop.

Microsoft Outlook was used to e-mail the record company, asking them permission to use the song.

Technology- It was the New Media that really aided me through this

coursework. Using Social Networks allowed me to reach my target audience and achieve a good sample to carry out my questionnaire on SurveyMonkey. Also, presenting all my work online on a Wordpress blog has allowed for coherence and much more clarity than if it was simply presented in a folder. The accessibility of completing all my work using New Media was fantastic as I was able to continue with tasks where and when I wanted.

- It is clear that technology has aided me greatly throughout the Research & Planning, Construction and Evaluation stages, as I have used some sort of technology in every single task I have completed.
