Root Beer was invented in Biloxi, Mississippi, in 1898 by Edward Adolf Barq, Sr.

Elvis Presley was born in Tupelo, on January 8, 1935. The world’s largest shrimp is on display at the Old Spanish Fort Museum in

Pascagoula.

Congratulations to all of BVE students who participated in this year’s geography bee. Liam Murphy placed third, Cooper Findley placed second, and BVE’s school champion is Elijah Ber-mann, who will be taking a test to qualify for the state geography bee. We are so proud of you! Good luck.
