Expand Wellness Council implementation in elementary-level target area schools and facilitate the assessment and development of school health policies using the School Health Index or similar in target area schools.

Increase student access to healthier foods by increasing access to breakfast and salad bars and by eliminating the sale of unhealthy goods.

Increase physical education at NYC schools thru in-class physical education and opening of play streets.

Took A Step Back

Developed a Communities of Practice Survey (CoP)CoP, is a term that describes a group of people who share an interest, a craft, and/or a profession.

Why? We needed to know how our new coalition will be able to gain interest and leverage support from existing CoPs. In addition to interest and level of commitment to our coalition the survey asked respondents to identify participation in other similar CoPs.
