NPA 2016 Executive Compensation Survey

Understanding This Report The National PACE Association (NPA) Executive Compensation Survey was designed to help NPA members benchmark compensation and benefit packages of key Chief, Vice President, and Director-level positions against their peers across the country. The Hill Group, Inc. administered the Executive Compensation Survey from April 2016 through May 2016. All data was reported as of March 31, 2016. The following report details the findings of the survey. The Executive Compensation Survey requested demographic, salary, and benefits information from NPA member organizations for nine positions. Please note that not all respondents provided data for all positions or questions. In order to protect anonymity, no data is provided for strata containing fewer than five respondents. The Organizational Information Overview section... This section contains information describing the NPA member organizations that responded to this survey, including:
Organization Structure (Part of a
health system, Free standing PACE organization, Sponsored by a health care entity or stand-alone hospital, or other),
Geography Type (Urban, Rural)
Number of PACE Centers Highest Census Gross Revenue Number of Employees Number of Teams Number of PCPs
For each position… This section contains information designed to provide benchmark data on position information, salary, and benefits for each position.
Position Profile and Overview. This section displays the demographic data collected such as alignment between the provided position description and the individual’s true responsibilities, time dedicated to this function, employment contract existence/terms, educational attainment, and lines of reporting. For each job title in the report, the following salary information is reported in a tabular format: Mean Salary: the average of all the salaries reported for the job title Median Salary: the middle of all the salaries reported for the job title Minimum Salary: the minimum salary reported for the job title Maximum Salary: the maximum salary reported for the job title The statistics above are reported for all respondents across various strata including organization type, full-time and part-time employment, geography type, weekly hours, revenue, and census. All other salary data represents both full-time and part-time respondents.
Position Compensation. This section reviews the salary and bonus information for the position including: Salary Histogram – Displays the distribution of salary data in two ways: Frequency Bars: measures how many respondents reported an employee salary interval. In the example, five individuals earn between $150,001 and $175,000.
Cumulative Distribution Trendline: measures the cumulative probability that a reported salary is below any given point. This trend-line references the axis to the right of the chart. In this example, about 70 percent of individuals earn $150,000 or less.
