Nowadays our Mission is…..

“To help people who are homeless or vulnerably housed

to access accommodation, health and vocational services

in order to improve their quality of life”.

• Street Homeless Outreach Team

• Gabriel House Resettlement Hostel

• Community Resettlement Projects– 62 Howell Road– Mount Pleasant houses

• Education, Training & Employment

Street Homeless Outreach Team

SHOT works (!)

• Twice weekly Outreach support service

• Twice weekly Drop-in support sessions

• Six-weekly Hotspots

• Communication – partners, community

• Prevention – hospital, prison, police

• Assessment

• Referral

• Advocacy (e.g. housing)

Local Rough Sleeping

In the last twelve months SHOT has worked with 349 people in housing crisis of whom:

• 81 were found rough sleeping in Exeter

• 107 were supported to retain their housing

• 134 people were helped to access housing

but

• 29 people found rough sleeping -Nov 2011
