EXTINCTION & POACHING

By: Ryan G. Jake L. & Juliette H.

What is Poaching?

Poaching is the illegal killing of animals. It’s a cruel way to treat animals.

The problem with poaching is that the killing of the animals is resulting in more and more animals species becoming extinct.

Tiger Skins

Poachers commonly display the skins of the tigers they poached and sell them for thousands of dollars.

Whale Poaching

Whales are beautiful animals and also have many qualities that are helpful to mankind. One of these qualities is oil. Because of this 1,400- 1,500 whales of several species are killed each year.

This is the population of tigers during the 1900s. Is it the same now? Nope not even a little bit. This is the population of tigers now! See the difference? And guess what the cause is.... Of course, POACHING!

Lonesome George

This is Lonesome George. Lonesome George is an Abington Island tortoise. He is the last Abington Island tortoise left. All the members of his species were killed by fishers and poachers. Only he survived. This is what happens to these wonderful animals when they are poached.

What Happens to the animals dead body

This is a deer that was illegally poached and now it’s head now hangs idol on the wall of its killer.

Stop Poaching

Poaching is a horrible thing to do and results in the death of animals. So take a stand, give a cheer, and save the animals.
