Objective● Primary goal:

○ Develop device safely removes embryo of a quail egg for cancer research■ Extraction rate > one egg/ minute■ High success rate ~90% (current: ~50%)

● Adjustable for varying egg sizes● Should be cleaned weekly and maintained annually● Easily operated

○ Additional valves--change suction to compression○ Filter or trap in case of egg breakage (e.g. syringe filters)

● Puncturing device○ Design/ materials: carbon steel○ Incorporate with handheld device

● Material selection○ Suction cups: silicone (withstand high temp.)○ Components: acrylic
