Client Installation Guide For FiRST Accounting

Prerequisite:

Share out the ‘First’ folder at the server and make sure the ‘Change’ permission is set to allow.

Client PC must have the minimum administrative rights to install runtime. (Power User/Administrator).

1. Download the latest client runtime from :-

http://www.ingenuity.com.my/pub/Anonymous/files/FiRSTRuntime.zip Extract the files to a folder, e.g. FiRSTRuntime should contains 2 files. VFP9SP2RT.exe VFPODBC.msi

To install VFP9SP2RT.exe

Double click on VFP9SP2RT.exe

Select U.S English

Check ReportEngine and ODBC and OLE DB Uncheck language for German and Spanish Click install

To install VFPODBC.msi

Double click on VFPODBC.msi

Tick “I accept the license agreement” and next

Then click Next to install 2. Map a network drive on client PC e.g. Z: to the Server where the ‘FiRST’ is installed.

3. Create a shortcut (Z:\Program Files\First\Program\AccExec.exe) on the client PC.

Double click on the short-cut to execute FiRST Accounting.
