Converting DTS cue/waveto individual .ma4 files for iTunes

• Qacc is an Apple Lossless Encoder than can be used from foobar2000 1.x

• We’ll show you how to download qacc and set it up in foobar

• Workflow:

• SPEC DTS Encoder single dts wave file

• Copy and edit stereo cue file to point to dts wave

• Convert cue/wave to individual ma4 files in foobar

Qacc install• http://sites.google.com/s

ite/qaacpage/

• Go to the “cabinet” and download qaac_0.16.zip (or later)

• Unzip the folder and move the qaac_0.16 folder somewhere (such as the foobar2000 folder) where you can find it

In Foobar 1.x

• Right click on any file and select convert …

• Click on Output format

Output Format

• Click on Add New and select “Custom” in the encoder drop down

Command Line Encoder Settings

1. Encoder: Browse to qaac.exe

2. Extension m4q

3. Parameters: -A --artist "%artist%"

--album "%album%" --title "%title%" --genre "%genre%" --date “%date%” --track “%tracknumber%” -o %d -

4. Format is Lossless

5. Highest BPS mode supported 24

6. Display: ALAC Lossless

7. Hit OK

Converter Setup

• Select ALAC and hit Back

• Click on Destination

• Set the output path as you like

• Select “Convert each track to an

individual file”

• Hit Back

Processing

• Click on Processing

• Disable additional decoding

• Make sure ReplayGain is set to None

• No Active DSPs

• Hit Back

Ready to Convert

• Your settings should look like this

• Clear foobars playlist

• Drag your cue file into foobar

• With all the files selected, right click on a file and select convert …

Convert!

• Check your settings and hit convert

Files are ready to add to iTunes
