FOODPRINT:INNOVATING FOOD WASTE
Hi there HSS member! First of all, thank you for attending the innovation workshop and taking interest in Foodprint: Innovating Food Waste! As health sciences majors, we are taught to hear out problems or opportunities, create unique and non-obvious ideas and deliver these to people who face real world situations. In this journey, you will bring out the best of being a health sciences major and do more. I assure you that you will gain a lot of things in this project including experiences, skills and oh the chance to actualize your idea with 50,000 pesos. with 50,000 pesos.
Again, thank you for taking part and I dare you to continue this step towards a journey that will benefit not only you but the ones who will experience your innovation. I dare you to leave your mark, your own foodprint.

Foodprint is a contest aimed at generating innovative solutions
to food waste. The Leslie Foundation will be funding three (3)
project proposals addressing a concern on food waste, with
each project receiving P50,000.
The competition will The competition will run from August 26 to December 6, 2013.
Grantees are required to implement their proposal in
partnership with Dr. John Q. Wong from January to May 2014.
WHAT IS FOODPRINT?
1. Foodprint is open to Health Sciences majors only. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors are highly encouraged to participate. Interested seniors will not form groups but instead will apply for mentorship to guide the lower batch teams.
22. A team must consist of 3-6 members. Team members can come from different batches. Each team must assign a group leader who will serve as the liaison of the team.
33. Participants are required to attend a talk explaining the HCD innovation process. This talk will be held on September 9, 2014, at CTC 106 from 4:30-6:00 PM.
44. Teams must submit a project proposal containing the names of the participants as well as the summary of each phase of the HCD. The innovation will be discussed in detail in the Deliver portion. Surveys, questionnaires, and other tools can be included in the appendix.
5. Proposals will be submitted to foodprintinnovationgrant@gmail.com by November 8, 2013.
66. The top 5 proposals will qualify for the final round. Each team must pitch their project to Dr. John Q. Wong on November 29, 2013. Each pitch should last no more than 10 minutes.
7. The winners will be announced on December 6, 2013. Grantees will be notified by Dr. John Q. Wong for the implementation phase thereafter.
