DEFINITION
Obstetric forceps is a pair of instrument specially designed to assist extraction of the fetal head and there by accomplishing the delivery of the fetus.
Measurements of long curved obstetrics forceps
1.Length : 37 cms.
2.Distance : 2.5 cms (in between the tips).
3.Diameter (widest) : 9 cms.

MATERNAL
Inadequate Expulsive Efforts & MATERNAL Exhaustion
Eclampsia
Fetal: Non Assuring FHR.
OTHERS: PROLONGED LABOUR
Confusion
