We have a parish FB page but need individuals who know how to put it to best use as a communications tool.

Stewardship of Treasure Sacrificial Giving
HAVE YOU REVIEWED & RENEWED
YOUR 2017 SACRIFICIAL GIVING?
It’s a very simple process really. Just take a look at your average monthly contributions in 2016 and calculate what percentage of your monthly income that amount represents. If you were giving one percent, why not step up to three percent. That’s only 3 pennies of every dollar earned. Already at three percent, consider asking God for the grace to step up to four or five percent. Keep in mind that according to Jesus himself, the measure you give will be the measure you get back. Sacrificial Giving is about a way of life marked by generosity. The Lord loves cheerful givers!

Our Time Singles Un-Valentine Party
The Our Time Singles group (ages 45-65) has decided to have an Un-Valentine dinner on Tuesday, February 14th, at 6:30pm at Christ the King Church. The group is open to anyone in the Archdiocese. At our last meeting, we met people from St. Francis, St. Mark’s, St. John’s in Edmond and Christ the King! Since we’ll be bringing dinner in for our Un-Valentine party, cost will be $15 per person, which will include dinner and beverages. Please R.S.V.P. at ckokc.org and pre-pay with the link if possible, or send a check to Christ the King Church, Attn: Pam Cullen, 8005 Dorset Dr., Oklahoma City, OK, 73120, so we’ll know how much food to bring in. WE hope to meet
even more of our Catholic singles at this event!

SAFE ENVIRONMENT
The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City through its programs, organizations and events, has numerous daily contacts with many children and young people. It is, therefore important that all Archdiocesan Personnel, clergy, seminarians, religious, employees and volunteers, protect the rights of children and be alert to the possiblity for child abuse. Under Oklahoma State law, all individuals MUST report an incident or suspicion of sexual abuse of a minor (person under 18 years of age) to the civil authoriites. The Oklahoma Department of Human Services has established a statewide abuse
reporting hotline for reporting: 1-800-522-3511.
This number is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week. If you feel a child is in immediate danger of harm call 911.
For the safety of children and the healing of victims, the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City provides an Abuse of Minors Pastoral Response Hotline for reporting the abuse of a minor (in the past or present) by a member of the clergy or other church personnel:
1-405-720-9878. The Archdiocesan Victims
Assistance Coordinator, a licensed professional counselor, will respond to calls to the Archdiocesan Pastoral Response Hotline. A report to the Archdiocese does not relieve the individual of the duty to report child abuse to civil authorities as required by Oklahoma State Law. In Oklahoma, failure to report child abuse is a misdemeanor punishable by law. Training for those who are interested in helping or working with the children or youth of our parish will be offered:
Sunday, February 5th at 10:30 am in the McConnell Room
