Dear Sir,
My name is Angela Moping. The reason why I am writing to you is
because I would like to ask for some help from you.
The problem I would like you to solve is something related to the
‘County Home for Mental Defectives’. As its name shows, this is a residence,
which I am sure you have ever heard about, for inmate people. Nevertheless, I
have recently found an interesting case there.
Mr. Loveday, the man who I am referring to, has stayed there for thirty-
five years. However, he has been treated as a sane person in the last twenty
years, since he has not required any kind of special treatment any longer.
He has no relatives except a step-sister who has not contacted him for
years now. As a result of this, he has nobody’s interests to request that he be
allowed to obtain his release.
Consequently, I would like to express my concern about this fact and
ask for the freedom of this man, who is not mentally handicapped at all. So as
to give some evidence to my claims, I am enclosing a rigorous medical
examination from the manager of the psychiatric hospital .
I am really sorry to have wasted your valuable time. I would be deeply
grateful if you examined the situation and tried to give a solution to it. I
would be able to attend an interview at any time in case you consider it is
convenient.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Angela Moping (Miss)
