Our school focus for- Week 1
Will be Community - Whanaungatanga
We need to remember how to function as a community so that
everyone feels included and supported.
This week we are looking at the Habit of Mind Thinking
Interdependently - Te whakaaro takitahi. To help us achieve this
we need to work collaboratively and tautoko each other so that
everyone can show their 'best for now’ in any situation around the
school.Check out this YouTube clip for
further information on what Thinking Interdependently means
for tamariki and why it is important.https://www.youtube.com/watch?

PAPER BRICKS
At Maungaturoto school we have been recycling our scrap paper and making paper bricks to sell.
It has been hard work!!! These work like a slow burning log but their small size makes it easier to fit them in your FIRE. We are selling these at 3 for $2 and can be bought
through the office or from Room 1.This is part of our “Enviro schools” project and
the money raised will go back into our school community.
WINTER IS HERE!!
This is a school fund raiser and money from this will go towards our Enviroschools.
All orders will need to be loaded and collected by the purchaser.
To be arranged when firewood is sold.Do you have your firewood sorted for winter?
This is good hot burning Macrocarpa.
We need orders before we can start cutting it up.
Orders can be placed with Kerry at the school office.
Get in quick, dont be left out in the cold this winter.
Price: $200.00 for 2 sqm
