Tributes paid tohorse fall victimTHE minister of the teenage girlkilled in a horse riding accidenton Friday has spoken of the fam-ily’s devastation.

Hannah Wiley, 13, died afterher horse fell going over a fenceat Eglinton Equestrian Club in

Co Londonderry.The teenager, from Artigarvan

in Tyrone, was described as a tal-ented rider who had excelled atboth school and sports.

Her body was returned to the Wiley family home yesterday af-ternoon.

The Rev Mark Russell, fromLeckpatrick Presbyterian

Church, described the family asbeing “distraught at the sense of loss”.

“It is a terrible tragedy for anyfamily to deal with and obviouslythey are very emotional,” he said.

“In some ways it has broughtcomfort to them to have her bodyhome, but it has also broughthome the reality of her passing

as well, and that is very hard, and will be hard in the times ahead.”

Last night her parents Ed-mund and Ethna, along with her12-year-old brother Aaron, werebeing comforted by family andfriends as nal preparations werebeing made ahead of Wednes-day’s funeral.
