FUNDED & UNFUNDEDPEDESTRIAN & BICYCLE PROJECTSAREA TRANSPORTATION PARTNERSHIP 2

FUNDED & UNFUNDEDPEDESTRIAN & BICYCLE PROJECTSAREA TRANSPORTATION PARTNERSHIP 2

*Pedestrian and bicycle projects are from the annually updated State Transportation Improvement Programs (STIP) from 2011 - 2018 (2011 is the first electronic STIP listing on MnDOT’s website www.dot.state.mn.us/planning/program/stip). Locations of projects were created based on the descriptions found in the STIP. For the years prior to 2011, MnDOT staff was asked to provide lists of funded projects since 2000; however those lists vary in completeness between each Area Transportation Partnership - ATP). Nonetheless, projects were still included to show as complete of a picture as possible. Listed projects do not include those that were funded wholly by local jurisdictions as they do not go into the STIP.

**Funded Safe Routes to School (SRTS) projects were obtained from MnDOT’s website: www.dot.state.mn.us/saferoutes/about.html. Project locations were determined based on descriptions of projects. If projects were for districtwide improvements, a project location was assigned to the district’s principal city.

***Unfunded SRTS projects were acquired from MnDOT staff for funding years 2006 - 2013. Project locations were assigned to the district’s principal city.

****MnDOT ATP contacts were asked to provide a list of projects since 2000 that were unfunded. The completeness varied greatly among ATPs. Lists received are not believed to be the complete listing of unfunded projects and do not reflect projects outside of ATP purview - e.g. wholly locally funded, bike/walk plans, etc.
