CONOR’S PERILOUS ESCAPADE

Conor is having a great time building a lego castle in his garden. The phone rings and his mammy runs inside to answer it.

Drip. Drop…

A dark cloud looms, before the heavens open and the rain starts to ruin Conor’s fun. Where should he hide so that ?

When he goes out the entrance he goes right. Then he takes the first left. Next he passes one junction and takes the next right. Conor will end up facing the direction that the sun sets.

Conor runs over to the rockery in the garden. He notices a nice dry spot under the stones and climbs in.A passageway opens up before him, so he clambers in to explore it.

“ROOOOOOAAAAARR!!”A DRAGON! How will he get past?!

The dragon doubles in size every second! In 15 seconds, the dragon will be fully-grown. Conor must stand on the dragon’s toe when the dragon is exactly half of his full-height. After how many seconds should Conor stand on his toe?

Phew! A lucky escape! Next Conor comes to a junction. It not been visited for many years. He looks behind him and the way behind him is blocked.

It says:

- Right, rocks will fall from the ceiling.

- Backwards, a pack of

rabid monkeys will

await behind the

blocked passage.

- Straight ahead,

hundreds of poisoned

arrows will come out

of walls

- Left, there is a pool of piranhas surviving on human flesh

What should he do?

Well done!! Conor escapes unharmed and heads through the open door on the far side. He enters a room with a table in the middle. On the table lies a puzzle, and the key to the next room will not be revealed until he solves this challenge.

In how many turns can you change the whole puzzle to blue?

The Key ! Conor opens the next door and arrives in the Dining Room of the Queen. She turns to Conor.

“You there! Can you divide my cake into 4 equal parts? If not, my stables need cleaning…”

Congratulations! Conor divides the cake and makes a dash for the back door. He finds himself in the Royal Orchard.

No matter which way he turns, there are 5 rows of four trees, but just 10 trees in total. How can this be?

Conor runs to the middle of the orchard to hide. He notices a small puzzle carved onto the tree trunk. He must decode this sentence: J’ai de la mortadelle comme petit déjeunéainsi que du thé, ceci est fort délicieux !

Well done ! Conor carves the answer into the tree and a raincoat and hat fall from its branches, he puts them on and after closing the last button, he looks up – he’s back in his own garden !  He spends the rest of the day playing lego.
