Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation and the City of BeloitAnnounces Alliance Development Corp. Expansion

Beloit, WI, April 15, 2011 - The Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation andthe City of Beloit are pleased to announce that Clinton, Wisconsin based AllianceDevelopment has announced that it plans on adding a 110,000 square foot addition totheir existing warehouse distribution center located in Beloit’s Gateway Business Park.The facility is currently servicing the logistics needs of the adjacent Kettle Foodsmanufacturing facility. The addition to Alliance’s distribution facility is being driven byKettle Foods’ recent announcement that they are doubling production capacity at theirBeloit facility.

The Alliance facility is located immediately to the east of the Kettle Foods site. Theexpansion project will include the installation of a covered pallet conveyor system thatwill allow finished product from the Kettle Foods plant to the existing and soon-to-beexpanded distribution facility. Construction is expected to begin by the end of June andbe completed by April of 2012.

Total capital investment for the project is estimated at $4.9 million and may create 10 ormore jobs.

The City of Beloit is supporting this expansion project by providing a TID funded grantin the amount of $20,000 to be used for training new employees. In addition, the Citywill also be providing the Company a TID funded direct developer pay-as-you-goincentive, whereby, the company will receive 10 annual payments equal to 20% of totalreal estate taxes paid by the company on the value of the new addition. The City willalso be coordinating with the State Department of Commerce to secure a DevelopmentOpportunity Zone tax credit allocation.

Andrew Janke, Executive Director for the GBEDC, said, “Alliance Development has aproven record of developing high quality projects and developing strategic partnershipswith local companies such as Kettle Foods. This expansion is a welcome addition to theGreater Beloit community.”

Beloit City Manager Larry Arft said, “We are pleased to welcome AllianceDevelopment’s building addition which is a companion development to the Kettle Foodsexpansion.”
