George Ezra- Blame It On Me

By Joe Carabini

Inspiration• https://youtu.be/CUpOsW1oBFU• Effective use of colour.• Black and white effect (except on performer) is

interesting.• The hat worn by the performer is an accurate

representation of Ezra’s indie style.• The idea of time lapses to make it appear that he’s been

walking for a long time is something we should explore.

Performance• We can use the stage, lighting and equipment in a local school for our

performance.• As it is a solo artist’s song we will only have one person on stage. • Ezra usually performs with an acoustic guitar, which features in the original

video for this song and in his other music videos.• We would have the performer on stage lip syncing whilst playing the guitar.• A variety of camera shots will be used, including high angle and low angle,

possibly worm’s eye and bird’s eye. This would make it more exciting.• The performer will be dressed in smart/smart casual clothes as this is Ezra’s

usual style.

Narrative• The narrative would be simple with the artist on the stage at the beginning of

the video.• He then sees someone beckoning him out of the theatre and he leaves the

stage to walk through the empty rows of seats. This carries the negative connotations of the song lyrics.

• He would then continue to walk out of the building and down an empty path, always following this person, who’s face is covered.

• For the rest of the video the artist follows this person through different terrains until they finally turn to him and point behind him. He turns to look and nothing is there, when he turns back the mystery person has disappeared.
