A basic primmer. Registering, editing profiles,

and setting up classes.

Registering For Quia

• Go to www.quia.com/web• Click on Create a new account

Fill In All the Fields and Create Your Instructor

Account

• CMS - IMPACT pays for your account

• Type in the activation code in the yellow section- the box on the top right.

See Mr. Squires for this code.

Log In to Your Account

Beginning Options

• Work with“My Profile”

• Work with“My Classes”

• Create

Classes & Class Pages

Create new classes

Creating a Class Page

• Click on creating a class page

• Name the class• You can choose an

end date later or leave open,

• Leave as instructor enroll(see me if you want further explanation)

Class Details to be completed

We will begin We will begin with the top with the top portion.portion.

Automatically filled infrom your profile.

Can change class name or end date here.

Name according to the things you call your classes: Block 1, Period 3, Blue class, etc.

Bottom three of the four checked,CLICK Save changes and edit roster.(Copy to other classes section will be done later.)

• Last Name and First Name are required.• Student ID and E-mail is optional• It will automatically generate a password.

– You can have the students change their passwords– The list of usernames and passwords can be

emailed to you

• Last Name, First Name are required, but it is suggested that you add the NCWISE # for the Student ID and as the password. Directions for this are found online.

• E-mail is optional- gaggle.net accounts(This allows students to retrieve their own passwords, and for you to EASILY communicate with them about quia work outside of class!)
