Go to the Roseville City School DistrictWebsite and pull down the Employeesmenu. Then click Online Services.

Scroll down until you see Global Scholar- Pinnacle Instruction. Click on the words: Global Scholar- Pinnacle Instruction

Log into Instruction using your teacher ID and your password.

To be able to see all of the left side of the screen, Click here, hold and drag to the right.

To Expand Content Standards & FormativeAssessments, click the Plus sign in the box.

Click on the Plus sign next toAlgebra/Functions.

Highlight Trimester 1.

Give your assessment a title.

2Choose the Assessment Type.

Choose the amount of points.

If you do not put any time in the Duration field, it will default to 30 minutes. This does not changeanything. You can leave it blank or give it a time.

If you want to give a description of the assessment, type it here.

Choose All standardsso that you have multiple items to choose from.

You have a couple of choices when creating questions for your assessment. These are the directions for using the pre-loaded items from the question bank

Pull down theAdd Items Menu.

12 Choose Browse ItemBanks…

Scroll down to find the Item Bank you want to pull questions from.

Notice that the Grade level for thesequestions is mixed. You need to clickUpdate to sort the questions so that they are just your grade level.

By moving your mouse over the Question Text (blue text) you can get an Item Preview. The preview only stays visible for a few seconds. To get a better look at the question, click on the blue text and the full question will appear.

From this view you can read through the questionto decide if you want it. At the bottom of the screenyou can see the standard(s) that are attached to this question.

If you want to use the question, click on Select.If not, you can use the arrow button to continuelooking.

To return back to the item bank, click “Back to Item list”

Once you have made all of your choices, click “Add to Assessment”

Just click “No, just add the items”

Review your assessment and thenclick “Next”.

If you are not ready to schedule a test, you can click “Finished”. Or if you are ready to Schedule, click “Finished & Schedule”. For this example, we are going to click “Finished & Schedule”.

Choose the type of assessment: a) Paper b) Online

If you chose Paper test, you need to fill out the Scheduling options.

Be sure to consider the print layout of your test. You have three options.

Choose your Print format,by deciding either a Combined Booklet that includes both questions and bubbles or Separatequestion and responsesheets.

When you are finished with the Scheduling Options,click Preview to see what your assessment looks like.

Your Preview will automaticallydownload using either Preview or Adobe Reader.

When this window appears, change the Save File to Open with. Then click “Choose”. You will have to choose the application thatyou want to open the preview in.

If you chose to open the file usingPreview, then click Preview and then Open. Then click OK.

If you chose to open the file usingAdobe Reader, then click Adobe Reader and then Open. Then click OK.

This is what your assessment actuallylooks like when you print it.

Now you are ready to Schedule your assessment. Click Schedule.

Your assessment is now Scheduled.

You now can see your assessment under LessonPlan. Click on the assessment.

Click through each of the tabsto review your assessment.

Have your students complete their assessments!
