F.I.C.C.HonoraryPresidentCamilleOLINGER.passedawayunexpectedlyon6September2018.Hewas91yearsold.Camille Olinger was elected to the F.I.C.C. Council in 1984 and took over the chair of the F.I.C.C. RallyCommission,beforebecomingVice-President in1987.Following theresignationofPresident IvarKahl, theGeneralAssemblyelectedhimF.I.C.C.Presidentin1990,apositionhehelduntil1996.He was awarded the F.I.C.C. GoldenMedal of Honour for his services to international camping and wasnominatedasanF.I.C.C.HonoraryPresidentbytheGeneralAssembly.Mr.Olingerhadbeenamemberof theCampinianerRing since1977and servedas its secretary formanyyears.InFLCCC (Luxembourg),hewas theeditorof theFLCCCmagazine from1969 to1971andsecretaryof theassociationfor23years,apositionfromwhichheretiredataveryadvancedage.FLCCCnominatedhimasHonorarySecretary.

Rally inCheltenham(UK),theytookpartinmostF.I.C.C.events,wheretheywereverywell-knownandmuch-lovedrallyparticipants.Theyestablishedfriendshipswithpeoplefromallovertheworld,friendshipsthattheynurturedandmaintainedrightuptothe2017F.I.C.C.RallyinTaiwan.DavidfirstbecameadelegateoftheCaravanClubtotheGeneralAssemblyoftheglobalfederationin1981,adutyheperformedfrom1986to2013.From2013to2018,hewasthechiefdelegateofHymerClubInternational.HewasnolongerabletoattendinPaarenduetohealthproblems.Hewasalsoamemberof the InternationalCaravanningAssociationand, togetherwithPauline,organisedandaccompaniedfederationtripstoSouthAfrica,MoroccoandAmerica,including4journeystoArgentina,whichwerealsoalwaysattendedbyF.I.C.C.Campermembers.
